The end of September is creeping up on us and the sun seems to still be shining! But there's definitely more of a chill in the air, especially in the evenings.

Here at Sprechen, we love this time of year. If you know us, you'll probably already know that we're quite partial to a coffee or two, particularly in Winchester with it's generous offering of great coffee shops. I had my first seasonal latte last week and it's definitely got me feeling more autumnal.

The next few months are a particularly busy time for Sprechen - Over the past weeks we've been gearing up on all things Winchester Bonfire!

This year sees a new e-commerce website for ticket sales which we've worked hard to develop to make it even easier for attendees to buy their tickets online.

Alongside this we've also designed the programme which will soon be dropping through the letterboxes of Winchester's residents - Keep a look out for it!

We've also coordinated the email marketing campaign as well as updating and adding social media channels too.

We absolutely love supporting Winchester Bonfire - This is our city's largest charity event, and one that raises over £60k for charity each year.

This year is particularly special as it marks Winchester Bonfire's 60th Anniversary - Sixty years of fundraising, supporting the local community and putting on an event that just keeps getting better every year.

Last year's event raised over £65k which goes straight back into the community by helping good causes and charities in the Winchester area.

Bucket collections alone raised over £4,000 in 2017, and that money went to The Joe Glover Trust (a children's cancer charity) and also helped Action Hampshire install a defibrillator on our Winchester High Street. Amazing uses for the money generously donated!

Over 200 volunteers help to make this event possible every year, and we are so very grateful and proud to be a part of it.

If you haven't ever been then we throughly recommend it - Don the woolly hats, cosy up with friends and family, and watch a spectacular fireworks show. What's not to like?

Team it up with a few drinks at a local pub and a dinner at one of Winchester's many independent restaurants and you're all set for a fantastic evening.

We hope to see you there!
